My very first patch with the Qu-bit Data Bender, which I'm already loving. It's a very straightforward interface, and really easy to just plug it in and get something going. It's pretty much a dream for sound design and texture - I love having a bit of gritty noise or electrical crackling as a bed for my tracks, and the Data Bender offers that and way more. It's effects both sound degraded and corrupted, but they're also musical and bring out harmonies that you might not have expected.
Patch notes:
- Moog Matriarch is playing a couple chords, put through Data Bender. The output is put through Strymon Big Sky for space.
- Moog DFAM through Strymon Magneto. Magneto's wet level is being modulated, added these big panned delays every now and then.
- Mutable Instruments Elements through Fairfield Shallow Water for a little melody.
- Elektron Machinedrum on the beat.
